Located on Carlaw just north of Dundas, Rock Oasis is situated in an old warehouse building. Friendly staff, lots of room, but we miss the height of the old gym. This is a 'temporary' location while Rock Oasis builds a new, purpose-built climbing gym.
Great gym, friendly staff, love the height as it's good for preparing for outdoor climbing. Only drawbacks are (a) can get a bit crowded, (b) music gets a bit loud at times (I really do like to be able to hear my climber as a belayer, and to know my belayer can hear me), and (c) poor ventilation on hot summer days.
ACC members receive a half price day pass on the first Tuesday of each month. (Valid only with proof of ACC membership).The Rock Oasis offers two 60 foot high climbing towers, two bouldering caves, steep roof routes, lead climbing & top roping, food & liquids to fuel your body, lounge areas, as well as climbing clothes, equipment & magazines. There are change rooms with washrooms, showers & lockers.Remember to bring your ACC membership card to climb for half price.
