Do I need to know how to climb before I can join this group, or will the group teach me?

You do not need to know how to climb to join Crag Crux Climbers. You just need to be interested in climbing... well, at least, that helps.

The best way to get into climbing and learn is to come out to one of our Beginners' nights. In so doing, you will take a beginner lesson at one of the local gyms so that you can safely learn the basics of tying a figure-eight knot and using a gri-gri belay device. Those two basics are all that’s required, and with them you will be permitted to climb at any of the Toronto gyms.

All that said, though, you can join the website at any time. That way, you can keep up-to-date on all the club events, and come out to the ones in which you're interested.
