Just got back from the Gunks. Had a great time doing multi-pitch. Unforgetable experience on High Exposure (5.6+). Climbers from California say that the rating in the Gunks is at least 2 grades harder than in California. I definitely felt that High Exposure is more physically and mentally challenging than the first pitch of Agitez Bien (5.8) that I lead the previous weekend at Metcalf Rocks.

Thanks to Robert Upton of Homoclimtastic for providing a list of classic routes, which gave us options, as the area was crowded with climbers from all over America. The parking lot was full of climbers camped in their vehicles overnight.

The hostel is a great place to stay to meet other climbers and exchange information.
