This is the biggest queer climbing event in North America! I was there last year with Rio, Anthony and Ken and we all had a fantastic time. Most of the attendants were hard core climbers. A few were at the beginner's level and they still climbed to their hearts' content.
I can't go this year as I will be attending a Rock Solid Leadership course in Jasper sponsored by Alpine Club Canada during that week. I strongly recommend that you go if you can.

Hello Homo Climbtastic!
In this issue: Big pimpin convention, local club listings…
so, i don’t know if you’ve heard, but apparently we at HC are all big pimpin’ now (apologies to demi). we’ve got deadpoint magazine coming to our july convention, major blogs like Towleroad giving HC shout outs, and two sponsors (Prana and Beta Clothing Designs) giving us prizes for the convention’s anti-comp!
we’re planning for an attendance rate of about 50+ people, so we feel it’s appropriate to bill it as the Biggest Queer Climbing Convention Evaarrrrrr. as always, our climbers will run the gamut, leading/projecting anything from 5.10 to 5.14, which means YOU should come, no matter what the crap you’re leading these days! hang dogging is perfectly acceptable, in fact encouraged, in fact required if you want your belayer to win the Miss Congeniality “most time spent belaying” category in the anti-comp. and yes, don’t let the “miss” fool you, women are also eligible! other gender neutral categories: biggest success washing the sand out of your va/man-gina, best julia sugarbaker impression.
so don’t delay: RSVP on the facebook event page, and fill out the registration form! both are linked off the www.homoclimbtastic.com web site.
fill out the form even if you’re not absolutely sure you’re coming yet—there’s no trip deposit if you’re camping, so get us your information now if you want campground directions to find their way to your email inbox. otherwise, you’ll be driving through west virginia in the middle of the night, calling us for directions, and we’ll be asleep or unable to hear the phone over the lady gaga telephone video. all while you’re getting axed to death by leatherface. you’ll have no one to blame but yourself. think about it.
